Description About the position: This position is located at the Rocker Enlisted Club on Kadena Air Base, Okinawa Japan.
Responsible for greeting guests and escorting them to their seats based on established seating guide. Takes reservations and sets up tables for large groups. Informs guests of dinner specials. May be required to receive and submit initial patron drink orders. At the end of the meal, accepts the check from the customer, totals up the sale, and accepts payment, providing change as necessary. Payment may be made in the form of cash, check, or credit card. At the end of each tour of duty, the incumbent clears the cash register, completes all supporting documentation and submit to supervisor. Elevates problems to supervisor for resolution. Maintains hostess station and register in clean and orderly condition. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Applicant must have experience in clerical, office or retail work of any kind in which the applicant demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Experience must include demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems, to make change when receiving payments from customers, and to use cash accountability control methods. Must posses good communication skills and skill in dealing with the public.Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
