Description About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the18 Force Support Squadron Command Section, Kadena Air Base Okinawa, Japan.
Reports directly to the 18th Force Support Squadron Director.

The primary purpose of this position is to perform various clerical and administrative duties in support of 18th FSS activities and programs.

Incumbent is responsible for routing FSS taskers for signature and tracking. Updates and audits unit tracker system, Task Management Tool (TMT), and suspense files for unclassified document coordination and processing as required. Conducts administrative functions as a back up to the command Secretary. Manages leadership leave tracker and advises of discrepancies. Assists the command administrative section with file and records management. Composes correspondence from brief verbal or written instructions of the supervisor. Responsible for correct spelling, paragraphing, grammar, format, etc. Answers incoming telephone calls, makes tentative appointments for supervisor, and arranges staff meetings, as required. Files and processes various documents relating to the substantive program of the organization.

Performs other assigned duties as directed.

Qualifying Experience:
Applicant must have responsible clerical or office experience which provided a basic knowledge of correspondence formats, grammar and spelling; skill in compiling data, and preparing reports, composing correspondence and maintaining organized files. Experience must have demonstrated requirement for rigorous attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and possess the skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to effectively work with management officials at all levels.
