DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Performs a variety of clerical, administrative, and accounting duties in support of the various functions within the Installation Finance office.
Performs Installation Finance Check-Out procedures to ensure Service Members, MCCS Employees (Service Member-Sponsored, and Self-Sponsored) and MCB GS employees do not leave Okinawa indebted to MCCS. This responsibility includes directing customers to other locations on Camp Foster using maps provided.
Provides support to the Central Cashier and Financial Cash Management Technician, to include verifying and certifying cash receipts and preparing deposits of monies received from daily cash reports from MCCS Okinawa activities, and the completion of Daily Activity Reports (DARs) for submission to the Shared Services Center Japan (SSCJ).
Provides support to the Unit and Family Readiness Funds (U&FRF) Administrator, to include processing New Expenditure Requests/Reimbursements (NAVMC 11652), appointment letter maintenance, calculation of quarterly unit allocations, submission of check requests and BUM transfers, and tracker maintenance/reconciliation.
Provides support to the Management team with data entry, data gathering, data reconciliation, and ad hoc reporting as necessary. Reviews documents for validity, completeness, and accuracy of accounting data.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have high School Diploma or equivalent.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiar with operating Microsoft Programs to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
