You will serve as a Supervisory Firefighter in the Marine Corps-Fire and Emergency Services of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing administrative, complex technical Fire ground operations (e.g., assigning work requirements, directing firefighting operations, implementing plans and programs); providing training in fire protection efforts; and providing direction during emergency incidents.

To maintain SRC, applicant must have entered prior to age 37 and serve three years in a Validated Primary Rigorous Position.
  • This position requires rotating shift work.
  • Pursuant to 5 CFR 831.902 & 842.802, this position is a secondary administrative position for which experience in a primary firefighting position, or equivalent experience outside the Federal government, is a mandatory prerequisite.
  • Work schedule is a 72 hour workweek including weekends and holidays as required. May be recalled to the workplace or work extended overtime as required.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • Participates in and meets the standards of the DoD Firefighter Physical Fitness Program. Conforms to the requirements set forth in NFPA 1500, Fire Department Occupational Health and Safety Program.
  • Must successfully pass an annual firefighter's medical physical examination.
  • This Position The Requires National Incident Management System (NIMS) ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, ICS-400, ICS- 700, and ICS-800.
  • This Position Requires Firefighter II, Incident Safety Officer, Fire Officer III, Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector II, HASMAT IC
