Description About the Position: Serves as a Data Quality (DQ) Manager for the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and crosses a number of functional boundaries to develop and implement programs and techniques to improve data quality business practices. Located in U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa, Japan.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes analyzing data and assisting with the improvement of data quality and coding within the health care system; Identifying possible trends and patterns for preparing reports; Conducting a wide range of quality assurance studies using computerized data entry and retrieval systems; Utilizing management analysis techniques, observational and interview methodology to determine what if anything is needed by an organization to increase effectiveness.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
