Position Summary
Sentry Solutions is seeking a qualified Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Data Entry / Front Desk Clerk to provide administrative, customer service, scheduling, and data entry support in a military family readiness environment. This position supports front desk operations, client intake, appointment scheduling, TAP administrative records, data tracking, monthly reporting, and general program support.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, customer-service focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting service members, families, and staff in a military setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide front desk customer service by greeting visitors, answering phones, responding to routine questions, and directing clients to the appropriate staff or program area.
- Schedule clients for appointments, classes, workshops, and program services using approved Government systems or registration platforms.
- Maintain accurate data entry, tracking documents, sign-in logs, intake forms, and program records.
- Support Transition Assistance Program administrative records, including tracking service member participation, updating internal records, and maintaining required documentation.
- Prepare packets, handouts, program materials, and other administrative documents for classes, workshops, and appointments.
- Assist with monthly usage reports, data entry reports, and other routine administrative deliverables.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper records in accordance with applicable records management and privacy requirements.
- Support communication with service members and families regarding appointments, required documents, and program participation.
- Maintain a neat, professional front desk and work area.
- Safeguard Government-provided equipment, records, and information.
- Coordinate with program staff to ensure timely, accurate, and professional support to clients.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of data entry experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills - (Certificate confirming English proficiency level. Examples are: TOEIC, TOEFL, or ALCPT)
- Typing proficiency and ability to accurately enter and maintain data.
- Ability to learn and use Government-provided systems and tracking platforms.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain accuracy in a busy office environment.
- Professional demeanor and ability to understand and follow military protocol, structure, and chain of command.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting a military installation, Military & Family Readiness Center, Transition Assistance Program, family support program, or similar military/community service environment.
- Experience scheduling appointments, managing client records, or supporting workshops/classes.
- Experience handling sensitive information, privacy-related records, or controlled administrative data.
Security / Access Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen with a valid Social Security number.
- Must be able to complete required background screening and obtain/maintain installation and system access, including a Common Access Card, if required.
- Must complete required cybersecurity, privacy, and other Government-mandated training.
Work Environment
This position is performed on-site in a professional office environment. The employee will interact with military members, families, Government personnel, and contractor staff. Professional appearance and business casual attire are required.
